Hi, my boyfriend and I are flying to Split on July 1st for one week. We have not yet booked accomodation but are thinking we will probably stay on the island of Hvar for the most part. Ultimatley we are looking for a nice quiet (sandy)beach holiday but would also like one or two nights out if there was a good club or even beach party to go to. Does this happen around Split or Hvar etc? We would consider staying in two different places if necessary. Any recommendations on where we might find nice beaches and nightlife are welcome. I would like to book accomodation before we go, is this advisable?

In the summer time you have a very good night life in town Hvar at island Hvar, much better than in Split. Near the town Hvar, there are a lot of nice beaches.

It is reasonable to book accommodation in advance.
More info about Croatia and Hvar

In the summer time, the best night life in Croatia is at island Pag, beach Zrce!

Thanks Niki. Do you know if there are sandy beaches on Havar?

It might be hard to get the accomodation in this time of year. But you are already there. Let us know how it was. :)

Sand beaches in Hvar? I don't think so.

Hi just back from Hvar. Had a great time. Loved the place. Stayed one night in split, found great accomodation through which was very good. Found accommodation in Hvar through We got a lovely apartment ten minutes from the town by foot but with an amazing view of the habour.

Hvar town is beautiful and so relaxed. But there is a nightlife there too. There is a nightclub which I only went to on a Thursday. It was quite good but I would say at weekends it is much better. The bars are all very nice and relaxed. Carpe Diem is more lively but expensive and quite poser-ish! Hvar town is extremely clean and so safe. I would say there is hardly ever any crime committed! I would definitely recommend it for a few days. I think a week is the most I could stay there as it is small and you start to recognise people after only a few days. Island hopping is the way to go if going for any longer than a week.

Hvar is no more expensive than Dublin prices but Split is definitely cheaper. The beaches were nice but lack of sand can be an issue if you really like sandy beaches but sun loungers are cheap to hire so i did not mind very much. We hired a car one day and visited some other beaches. The scenery is beautiful on the island. I am glad we stayed in Hvar as the Starigrad and Jelsa looked smaller and less busy than Hvar. An island called Parmizana is well worth a day trip. It is so relaxed and somewhat sandy with a great bar. In general the food was ok. Fish eaters would love it. Non-fish eaters may find it less satisfying. Most restaurant menus have the same choices. We found a great restaurant called La Luna off the main square and would highly recommend it. There are some restaurants that need to improve both service and food but La Luna was not one of these.

Overall a great holiday in a beautiful little town. Extremely relaxed and great for people and yacht watching.

Hi,I reaaly want a quick answer to my question.
My boyfriend is going to Pag in a few days with 6 of his friends.I have heard that there is a great nightlife over there, so is there a BIG chance that he will meet some girl very fast and easy?
I just wonder if the girls are loose\???

I'm going to Pag tommorow, but i was also there last year, so maybe i can be helpful regarding your question!?! I can say that there is great night life in Pag, especially in beach called Zrce, where you can find many clubs just near the beach. Everyday you have some party with animations, happy hours and many more. About girls, all depends on your boyfriend, sure you can find girl and you have many to choose from but you can have lots of fun just with your friend. I can send you some pictures, if you like?

take care and trust him:)

I know I ask silly questions, but the reason is because our relationship has been a little bit rocky during the past two months, we even broke up for a period. He's a little bit cold and not that straight forward, so thats why it is important for me to know how are the girls there. Are they flirty and straight forward???because it is normal for every guy to do something on a vacation like that..
Is it like nightlife in Bulgaria for ex???

Quoting marijana_1

because it is normal for every guy to do something on a vacation like that..

What is normal? Stepping out whilst away? It is an individual thing. I know people who wouldn't even if a naked girl was thrown at them, and I know people who get it where-ever and when-ever they can...
