Finding work in the snow

Travel Forums North America Finding work in the snow

I'm thinking about trying one of those "working holidays" in Canada. I really want to (as my last post suggests) spend a bit of time in the snow in Canada learning how to snowboard.

Can anyone give me advice regarding finding a job in Canada? How easy is it to find short term work at resorts and such? Do they require any special qualifications? I'm not really fussed about the type of work, so long as I get a little time off and it's enough money to survive on!

Anyone recommend a place to start?

I lived and worked in Whistler for 6 months and really, really enjoyed it! I got the job just before the season started in October so I could get some training done, I was processing and delivering pre booked lift tickets to hotels and adventure centres. I got cheap staff housing, a free season ticket, and 3 days off a week to practice my snowboarding! (I needed it!)
There and humdreds of different jobs available in Whislter as it is the biggest resort in North America! If you go to their website, you will find more info on there.
Hope this helps, if you have any other questions, don't hesitite to message me.
Have fun!
