Begining at the end of the year I am going to be taking my first "real" travel adventure. I have been to Vegas several times and Chicago a couple on Bussiness but this will be the first time that I am breaking free and just taking a journey.

On October 29th I will leave Joplin Mo and head to Lousinia then to Flordia. For the first leg of the trip I will have a friend with me then they are going to fly back out of Orlando, from there it will just be me. I plan to bum around Florida till about the 20th of Nov then drive thru Geoergia and Tenn then go home for a few days around Thanksgiving then hit the road again hit Tenn once again then the carolinas, Virgina, west virgina, the rest of the mid atlantic states then New York around New Years Eve, after that if my funds are still there I'd like to hit New England and venture into Canada...

now my timeline may be torn to crap.. I am pretty negotiable as far as time goes because I am making it where my trip can be pretty adaptable. I have nothing really tying me down.. I wait tables so my job is pretty open ended so I can stay on the road as long as my funds allow and I am willing to work if my funding gets low... who knows I may get on the road and travel for god knows when..

If anyone has any comments or suggustions about places to see, or have had experience taking long road trips like the one I am going on.... Please feel free to post.

One recommendation is to take a few raft trips when you are in West Virginia. My truck broke down once while I was in Gauley Bridge, WV and I was stuck for 4 days while it was being repaired. I went down the New River on a day trip then decided to also go down the Gauley River as well. These are pretty exciting trips, depending on the flow of the rivers. Worth doing when you are in WV.
