Hi guys
I would like to apply for a working holiday visa, but I'm worried that they will refuse me because I'm diabetic. I have good control which can be supported by a doctor's letter. Do you think I have any cause for concern?

i really cant see any reason why they would refuse ur whv...why dont u call the consulate and ask them bfr u apply...also my sister has diabetes and she was allowed to do a student exchange to canada for a whole year so i cant see why diabetes is a reason to stop u from travellin here...
i woudl call the consulate
and look at what insurance your going to buy because in order
to get visa you may need to show proof of insurance and some insurance dont cover pre existing conditions. i would check out which insurance can cover you.

Thanks guys. To call the consulate they charge £1 a minute! And when you email them, they're like robots and just repeat what it says on the website!
Is there a consulate near you that you can pop into and visit? Diabetes is an illness like epilpse which can be controlled by drugs and as long as you know your body and medicate well l would have thought you were being victimised due to your illness. I would go check out the available insurance policies as at least you are covered should you require medical treatment.
