bangkok hotel ??-

looking for a hotel for my first few nights in bangkok before i head to koh pha nang, i want somthing near the night life and shops, just central really.

not sure whether you want to stay near khao san road or sukhumvit area? I've stayed in New world lodge hotel - think you can get for around 11 a night, clean and about 5 min walk from khao san.

You might have to add another pound to your budget unless you can settle for a cheaper "fan only room" for the night.

If you stay in the Sukhumvit area you will be real close to the nightlife. Another benefit is the available Skytrain that can take you around lots of places in Bangkok.

Business Inn Hotel, on Sukhumvit Soi 11, cheapest room with air is around 700 baht ([email protected].) Also, on this same Soi is the President Inn for around 700 baht and Bangkok Inn Hotel around 890 baht (www.bangkok-inn.com.)

"Fan only" room at the Sukhumvit Crown Hotel, between Sukhumvit Soi 6 and 8 will be around 570 baht. A/C rooms available at much higher price. Fan only rooms have private toilets and TV. (E-mail [email protected].)
