Hi Kath
I am currently lining up a job at a ski resort in Canada to start this Oct/Nov04. I am doing it through They get you a job or your money back, and also include a few other things like one nights accomadation but it's mainly the job security. I know you can also get assistance through
It's not cheap through owh ($495) but to me it's so neccessary so i know when and where my job starts so i can happily travel solo before hand and not have to worry about joining the cattle call of workers and end up spending more trying to line up a job myself.
They actually fly the resort recruiters out to Australia so we can be interviewed one on one by them.
the interviews start june/july so you'd better be quick if your were going to use owh. (stands for overseas working holidays)
Good luck!

Where you calling from? It depends where for visas and helping to get over bureaucratic nonsense things.
Getting a job at most of the resorts is a first come served basis, unless you have a hook up. Narrow down where you want to ski. Are you looking for pseudo quieter nights with the hard-core pick in pack powder seekers who are in their bindings at dawn or are you looking for a more resort type "mini-city" experience like Whistler Village, which is famous for the party scene? I know Australians have an easier time then Europeans finding work and there is lots of help at the sites named above. CanWest has some pretty gnarly spots and the people are easy going and helpful. Look up the mtn you think fits you and see when they open. check the website for employment and put together a convincing email and just be sound on what what you want to do and a response is guaranteed.
