Hi Hillbec,

Good to know that u have chosen Kerala n Goa,both are amazing places.

I am a native of Kerala and i thought i should pitch in with some more info abt this beautiful place. In Kerala you have 2 choices, either take the beaten tourist path or move away n explore the virginity of the place.

If you go by 1st choice then wat i suggest is land in Trivandrum(Capital of Kerala State)airport, head to Kovalam beach which is around 45 minutes by cab from airport, considered to be one of the best beaches in the world.Spend a day or 2 there, travel to cochin by a cab which will take 4 hrs or u can catch a flight to cochin, check out the old part of Cochin for a day or 2,head to Alleppey first thing in the mornin(1 hr by cab from Cochin) hop on to a houseboat, stay in the boat n come back to Cochin the next day.Go to Munnar Hillstation(famous for tea plantations and Devikulam National Wildlife Park)which is 4 hrs by cab from Cochin, stay there for a day or 2 n come back to Cochin.

Hope this helps, but if u want to go for the second choice let me know and i can help u with that.Very difficult to put it down here..

The itinerary prepared by the tourist company is ok.But check how muh does it cost? It would be too expensive, i guess.
You can do the same trip by yourself with much much less amount ofcourse if you are not in a hurry and have a suficient holidays.

I find that sight seeing is Cochin is rushed up to take you to Munnar.

Also suggest you to spend your day time in Chennai to like Theosophical Society, Kapaleeswarar temple, Museum. On the way to Mahabalipuram you can visit 'Dakshina chitra', Crocodile bank to name a few.
Have a nice trip.
