Hi, almost all hotels in Barbados are booked between 26 April and 29 April due to the Cricket Final being played. 3 friends and I have applied for tickets to this match and are trying to seek pre-booked accommodation. In the case that this is not possible, does anybody know whether there are homestays? Like in Croatia when you get off a ferry or bus and locals are waiting with pictures of their homes for you to rent a room in?
Any help would be much appreciated!

Good luck friends and I are going to St Kitts for some early round matches (if we get tickets) and booking accom there was tricky enough. It will be vey very hard for the final! But worth the effort.

We've hired a 4 cabin catamaran specifially for that reason. This way, we have accommodation and travel sorted from Grenada, through St Vincent & the Grenadines and finishing in St Lucia. Unfortunately, we can't cross to Barbados due to rough seas!

HI Bree,

it's a real problem, it seems, re accommodation for Cricket. I would recommend that you start with and check with the 2 agencies listed for Barbados for hotel accommodation. They might not be any help if the air isn't included, but you can never tell.

Next try and go to the accommodation part of this site. you may have to write to or call any number of places to find what you are looking for.

you do need to have your accommodation before arriving, and no there will not be people standing around trying to get you to stay in their homes. However, the World Cup committee in Barbados is encouraging barbadians to open their homes to world cup tourists, but I'm not sure how this is going to work. Keep watching both of those sites for information, and good luck.
