I'm looking for a digital SLR camera that's affordable.
Any comments, and thought regarding the best of these two models ?
Thanks in advance

Canon EOS 300D vs Nikon D70 ??
Hi stefan,
I owned the Canon 300D since last year and took couple thousand of shots already- thoroughly love it. I just came back from a trip to VN, taking train and bus rides from South to Central VN, took close to one thousand pics. I don't know much about the Nikon D70 though. If you want to find comparison go to Digital Camera Reviews site.
Hi Pete!
Strange thing happened! Sent one post it made 4 or 5 more! Magic!
[ Edit: hmmm, strange, I deleted the multiple ones... :) ]
Hello
Go for the Nikon D70. You can't go wrong. It's better than the 300D many ways. I have tried both. Check out professional review site such as www.dcresource.com.

Eventhough I own the Canon 300D, I would buy the Nikon D70 now so I can have one of each. However, the Canon 300D is now around 800 dollars with 18-55mm lens. The Nikon D70, I saw advertised at $999 without the lens.
I came back from a trip to Vietnam last month. You can see some of my pics from that trip, from the address above.
Thanks for all info.

So you work for American Airlines ?
I used to work with Scandinavian Airlines for 4 years, I really loved it !!!
Travel discounts 90% off for standby tickets ;-)
But I changed my work in 1990. so no more airline staff tickets.
But still loves to travel, will never ever stop......

Hi stef
SAS is (or was, I think it was sold to some other airlines not long ago) a fine airlines. I used to travel SAS back in the 60's. ID90 is OK. However, there is a new non-rev fare, called ZED (zonal employee discount). Fares are based on miles traveled. For example, from Tokyo to Saigon, ID 90 on Japan Airlines is about 149 dollars. ZED fare on All Nippon Airways cost around 54 dollars for a little over 2000 miles. I only work for AA parttime. I work fulltime as an epidemiology specialist for a public health department. It's hard to find time off to go on trip, but not impossible.
