Star this if you like it!
Hi there
For the last part of my trip I will be in Patagonia, and I am wondering if anyone has some recommendations of anywhere good to spend Christmas and New Year? I was going to spend it in Buenos Aires, but apparently this is not a good idea as it pretty much shuts down this time of year.
Are there any new celebrations in Patagonia that anyone knows of?
Any advice gratefully recieved

You made a good choice not going to BsAs; it dóes shut down. Although I doubt that Patagonia will be any better... if you know people in the region, crash at their place. Else, you might wanna give Ushuaia a try; even though it will probably be dead quiet as well, it has a nice and cozy feel to it.
good luck,
Niels

I am planning on arriving to the far south (Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego) from Chile just before the Christmas period and then maybe work my way up to El Chalten to pass Christmas and/or Newyears there. Let me know if you will be around!
Love
Jean
