So you've travelled all over the place, and no doubt had a few beers here and there.

So what's your favourite beer, and where is it from?

The best beer I've tasted is U Flegu's own
dark beer in Prague! Very Good!
(tastes like chocolade)

I like Harp Lager, I found it in the UK originally, but it is a popular import in the US too now.

What a great subject I'm looking forward to a beer tonight when I get out of work I'll be going for a bottle of Becks (and more) - however usually I'm a Guinness drinker (absolutely love the stuff) Except people kinda hate me because I don't put on any weight with drinking it

I really liked the beer Chang while in thailand it is cheaper that the famous export Singha, love Hoegaarden form belgium and well a the diferent brands of kriek (cherry) beer form the same country. In canada it has to be the Sleeman's honey brown...;)

I thought this would be a difficult question to answer, it's a bit like the recent question posted about the best place you've ever been to. How do you narrow it down?

I like a lot of the English beers (am I allowed to say that?), particularly London Pride, plus some of the real ales.

I also like Kronenbourg from France.

I was lucky enough to be in Brussels when there was a beer festival on. My God, there was so many types of beers it was ridiculous! I think Belgium may have the most types of beers, plus it's a real cultural thing too.

I prefer Guiness as well! But to be honest, I enjoy any type of dark beer. The blonde ones are too...they taste like...well, let's just say that they're not for me!

Katie ;)

Great thread; how did I miss this? :)

Surfdude, those are some hefty beers you are quoting..... but they are good. I spent some great weekends in Belgium and the beer is exceptional (and cheap as well if your from the Netherlands).

There's something about the Grolsch bottle and my being half dutch that keeps that one of my fav beers. Especially now that I am in Norway and it's five times the price as an import beer it has a certain allure

Chang is definitely good too and in Oz, my favourite was VB.

In Norway, hmmm... don't really know. The best name of a Norwegian beer though is the infamous 'Ass' beer!!!! Actually it's Aas, but I can't help but laugh when I am served another cold 'aas'....

Chang is the best way to start a night ( mentioned in another thread about the viscous rumours that it contains formaldehyde)

a friend of mine from Belgium was telling me about the beer there, each bar serves many varieties of beer that all have to be served in their own glass, if five people order the same beer and you only have four of those particul glasses you actually have to ask, would you mind having your Duval served in a leffe glass?!!! (Leffe Blonde by the way is a very nicve beer.)-Its all about how much head and so on...

I am also very fond of Desparados, a mexican lager with a dash of tequila, served with a twist of lime in the neck. mmmmmmmmm:)
