hello fellow photographers!
i am going to japan in less than a month ....... and haven't figured out the best way to take my camera body, 2 lenses, and lots of film.
i was wondering if you could suggest some ways to do it.
i just want to take one good backpack so i don't carry much over the whole country. should i buy one of those backpacks that hold camera equipment on the bottom, and can hold my clothes and everything else on top? or should i bring a regular backpack, and just get a little camera case?
thank you,
rob

One of those types of bags would be good, however, keep in mind, you want a bag that you can carry on the airplane. Don't check your equipment, and especially don't check your film.

I don't know how much clothes you plan on taking, but I have a little LowePro that carries a laptop and camera kit that I have for carry-on. You could check your local Ritz, or try Calumet.com to see what they have that you like, and that will carry all your gear and clothes. An alternate, a nice Crumpler camera bag (from B&H Photo Video) is worth trying (but will mean carrying two bags).
