Help please....Have a return flight booked from London to Havana. Would like to spend 2-3 weeks in Havana on a Spanish course and then travel to South America for 4 weeks before returning to Havana for my flight back.
Does anyone have any tips on how to get from Havana to South America? Are there any cheap airlines that fly from Cuba to Peru/Chile or Argentina? Also, what is the best way to travel within South America? Thanks!

Firstly...

You're gonna love Cuba and especially Havana. Plenty of things to do, places to visit, friendly locals etc. It has a real exciting buzz.;)

Havana to South America is best to fly.

Check out http://www.copaair.com. This is how i flew from Buenos aires to Havana return, with a stopover in Panama on the way back. They don't just go to Buenos Aires, but Copa do many other destinations in South America.

Taca may also do flights via Peru, also Llyod Aero Boliviano and Aerolineas Argentinas, but I've not checked out their sites, so may be worth some investigating.

The best way to trvel within south america, especially if it is within the 1 country, or between countries with a common border is to get a coach. Otherwise you way wish to fly larger distances, such as Buenos Aires to Bogota for example. But if you had a lot more time then even a journey as long as this one could be done by coach with stopovers along the way.

have a great time, I'm sure you will.;)
