i wonder if anyone can help?

im going to rwanda in a few days and will be trekking to see mountain gorillas.

does anyone have any tips for how to get the best shots? i cant use flash so will be relying on slower shutter speeds and my tripod. i use a canon powershot s2 is.

We're going to PNV this December so I'll be interested to hear about your trip.

The advice that I've received is to use as high of an ISO as possible (I've seen some great shots using ISO 800) and a fast lens (not sure if your camera is a dslr or not, I don't know the Canon line).

Do you think tripods are allowed? I don't know why but I assumed that you had to leave everything (packs, etc.) once you found them and were only allowed to hold your camera. Not sure why I thought that though...
