Hi, I'm going to Zimbabwe in December and I would like to know about recommendations for one woman, alone, there. Please, if you can help, send a message. Thank you, very much. MM

Zimbawe is a beautiful country and have been there a couple of time myself, before 2000. Travelling to Zimbawe at the moment is not as easy as it used to be. Lack of petrol is the main issue. The inflation is running and it could be difficult and very expensive to get products of first necessities. My brother in law is from Zimbawe and the information we get from there are worse everyday. Maybe you should wait for a bit before to go.

My mother and I backpacked in Zimbabwe pre-craziness alone when I was 10 and again when I was 14 yrs old and we had very little problem. A mother and a daughter? You'd think we'd be hassled, but we weren't. Zim is a fantastic country and the people are great. However, times are bad now. My mother was going to go back recently but was told by close friends there not to. Perhaps if you stick to the beaten track it's ok, but if possible, I would delay your trip.
