Hi guys

I wonder if you could aid me at all?

On the 18th of November I am going to watch Lindsey Buckingham in concert in vancouver. [I live in England]

I was planning to go over on 16th november and stay till Tuesday 21st.

Do i need any sort of visa to go for this time?
Also do i HAVE to have insurance at all?

Are their any other things that i need to organise / worry about before going at all? I am on a mega budget!

Any help would be greatly appreciated

cheers guys.

DAVE,
UK

Assuming you are a British citizen coming to Canada for a short tourist visit, then you should not need a visa.

Check this page for details: Do You Want to Visit Canada? The basics are:

If you want to come to Canada for a few days or several months, you must meet some important immigration requirements. You must be in good health, law-abiding and have enough money to support yourself and your dependants during your stay.

This assumes you don't have a criminal record. The BEST thing to do is to contact the Canadian Embassy in London, and they can answer all your questions as definatively as the law allows.

As for insurance, you don't NEED it, but if you get hurt or sick, you won't get free health care and will have to pay. Therefore, it's your choice if you want to chance it. Travel health insurance is very inexpensive though. You should get a quote to at least see how much it'll cost you.
