I was wondering if anyone could help me find a hostel that close to Copacabana beach for new years. Any help would be great.

Hi. I've never stayed at any hostel in Rio because I lived there. But there were two hostels in Ipanema I used to pass by that seemed nice. I think Ipanema is much cooler than Copacabana, and you can always walk to Copacabana Beach on New Year's Eve.

I am in Rio now. Ipanema is indeed nicer, but Copacabana is a lot cheaper. I stayed in Ipanema Beach House in Ipanema, and I am currently staying in a fairly new hostel in Copacabana called Stone of a Beach. It is a pretty nice hostel and v close to the beach. Look em up on Hostelbookers.com
