Hey everyone, I was just wondering if anyone recommends any good sites on finding cheap airplane tickets when flying within Europe. I’m constantly hearing people tell me that it’s so cheap to fly over there but whenever I check the airfare it may be cheap but it’s loaded with heavy taxes or else it’s the complete opposite. I’m going to Norway next semester and want to take a few side trips to other countries by means of air such as to Greece and Ireland. Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thanks.

Hi. It all depends on where you're flying from and to.

I'm going from Lisbon to Dublin by aerlingus (www.flyaerlingus.com). I've used www.easyjet.com, www.vueling.com and airberlin.com. You can try www.terminala.com and www.bravofly.com to compare prices. There is much more than that and you can always look up "low cost airlines" on google.

good luck.

Aline

Depending on where you want to go, www.ryanair.com or www.easyjet.com are two of the bigger ones, and on occasions Ryanair has been known to have really dirt cheap fares like 0.01Euro + taxes. If you subscribe to their email list, you'll get notification when they have a big sale on. A couple of years ago I got a flight from Shannon (Ireland) - London for a little more than 10Euros including all taxes because the fare was 0.01 Euro before tax. Getting to London CBD did cost quite a bit to do so, but it still worked out very cheap. You'll struggle to get anything remotedly cheap for Greece even from London where you can get easyjet flights the prices aint that cheap compared to travelling to other countries. If you spend too much time in Norway, you wont have a great deal of money left because that is a very expensive place and the bottle tax they put on if you don't recycle the bottles is obscene. They even charged to go to the toilet in McDonalds in Oslo!

Ryanair also has bases in England. I fly very cheaply around europe with both Easyjet and Ryanair. Book well in advance and they are ridiculously cheap.
