im staying in vegas for a week over new years and just wanted to know what the weather is like over their at that time of year. Also is it better to book tours of the grand canyon and other things before or after you get there?

I was there this time last year (start of dec) - it was warm during the days (t-shirts) although it did rain, but l did need warm jumpers at night and a waterproof.

We didnt book any trips or show tickets until we got there, theres plenty of choice, and for shows there is a discount ticket shop just by the entrance to the fashion show mall.

If you're willing to take a chance and wait until the last minute you can get good show discounts.

Here are 2 web sites that will tell you about it:

Only a fool would predict what weather will be a month out, but usually it is OK during the day and cold enough at night for a sweater/coat. Usually sunny as well. Just bring a coat and hopefully you will not need it during the day.

Now show tickets. Some of the most popular shows; Celine Dion, "O", do sell out, but I would wait until you are here and see what is available at a decent price. Send me a PM if you have questions on Vegas.
