Hi all,

I'll be in Venice in mid december for 1.5 days....
Which are the must see places in Venice that I can cover in such a short time span...?

The Rialto Bridge, Piazza San Marco, and a good few hours just to walk around. That's really the best part of Venice - getting lost in the maze. If you have time, take a water bus to one of the islands, like Murano. It's just nice to see Venice from out in the water.

We took a water bus to Burano, an island a little less well known than Murano which made it twice as charming with fewer tourists. Every house is painted a different, bright color because Burano is (obviously) a fishing villiage. When the fishermen would come home at night and the fog would be low, they could find their home easily because of its distinctive color. Its beautiful.

Tway is right. Plus, don't miss the Ca' doro museum if you happen to find Venice on a rainy day.

The old and beautiful, postcard part of Venice is small enough to get all around in 1.5 days. And it is is possible to walk the distances, in this part, of the town.
Start at the train station and walk any route, to San Marco. Or wander around the side streets, getting lost, and stopping in cafes. Well, that is what i did, when i was there.
