Xmas in Vietnam - any recommendations?!

I am currently in Vietnam, travelling from North to South with three others. We are planning to spend Xmas in Vietnam and Na Trang has been recommended as a good place to be in for Xmas. Basically, we wish to celebrate Xmas in a semi western style, e.g. xmas dinner, xmas decorations and the music, and all other festive merriments! Oh, and a beach, of course! Ideally, we would like to be around other people, local and westerners, who also wish to celebrate Xmas in a similar way. Does anyone have any advice on Na Trang for Xmas and if it would meet our requirements, or have suggestions of other places in Vietnam where we could spend Xmas? Also, any advice on good accomodation, preferably a beach hut?

Jeah, you can enyoy your S'max in Nhatrang, can book room at Yasaka hotel they have some great activities celerate. It is better & have many choises if you spend that time in Saigon City, but it hasnot beach.

I think Nha Trang is a good choice. There are plenty of westerners in NT and plenty to see/do. The Sailing Club is a great place to party and meet others. I stay at the 62 Tran Phu Hotel. Located at oddly enough, 62 Tran Phu St, about $8/nite. Tran Phu is the main street that goes along the beach. You can walk across the street to the beach and the Sailing Club is a 5 minute walk away. Many restaurants are also close by. Have fun.

Will you join in a party with Saigoneses? Ladies are taking parts from shopping to cooking for the party. Gentlemen are in charge of decorating and some miscellaneous things. We are a group of 15-20 members.

We collect each friend 50,000 VND for that party, on 24th Dec, from 9am.
