I think you should go to Lai Gui Fang in Hong Kong. It's a famous bar in Hong Kong and over world. You can have a little drink there. ;)
And I think you also can go to mainland of China to visit some interesting places if you have 2 or 3 days' time. You can go to the near places such as Guangzhou and Guilin. It worth travelling.

Visit The Peak to see the beautiful harbour view of HK Island from Kowloon. Take the ferry to and fro the islands rather than taking the MTR, the experience is definitely different.
On the way up The Peak, there is an egg tart shop call Tah Cheung Egg Tart (ask around, the shop is pretty well known), they sell the best egg tarts in HK I was told.
HK is a very beautiful city full of buzz. Pop by Causeway Bay for some good shopping and people watching.

Singapore:
Walking Maps
Free hardcopies are available in Singapore City Gallery, which is worth a visit as well. It gives you a good orientation of the island. After the visit, you can pop by Maxwell or Amoy Street hawker centre for some cheap and good local cuisines. Chinatown is just next door and it's only 10 minutes train ride away from the city centre.
National Museum of Singapore just opened their doors after 3 years of renovation and improvement works and they have an exhibition of Maria Theresa (mother of Marie Antoinette) till 1st quarter of 2007. The Art Museum, Asian Civilisation Museums are all nearby. You can get a full list of museums and their activitives from Nationa Heritage Board. Do pop by Esplanade, Singapore's premiere arts centre. They have guided tours that bring you into the Concert Hall and Theatre and if you are a performing arts lover, you should go for the tour. There's a roof terrace that gives a good view of the Centra Business District and in there holds the first and only performing arts library.
Don't miss out the Zoo and Night Safari, it's world class. Beach lovers, Sentosa is the place to go.
There are alot of places to see and can be easily covered in a few hours since the island is so small. If you need anymore help on Singapore, send a message over and I'll see if I can help. Enjoy your trip.

Hi Ally,

HK is a lovely place...i spent xmas there 2 yrs ago and it was quite nice. Food is excellent. I had the best meal of my entire life in HK. Places I visited/can remember were causeway bay..the light shows at night...the peak...Kowloon...You can hop over to Macau from HK for a different experience.

That saying, HK and SG is similar in the sense that both are city state.

I think Artichoke gave some good tips and I'll build off that:

Raffles Hotel for its Singapore Sling. Its a lovely building. Drop by New Asia Bar which is just around the corner when you are getting the sling. It provides a superb night view of Singapore.

Orchard road would probably be the place to shop / experience till before 9+/10+. If you still in the mood for shopping, you can pop by to Mustafa Center in Little India, its 24/7. You can also visit little india to get the multi cultural diversity of the country.

Apparently our Zoo is world class! So is our Jurong bird park (i gotta admit I haven't been there for a really long while)

If you wanna chill out at the beaches, you can try sentosa. There are some pubs by the beach (KM8 / Coastes)

If you get sick of concrete jungle, the botanical gardens is quite nice actually.

Let me know if you need more help.

Cheers
Ethan
