Hi, you can fly from singapore to HK, and then Shenzhen and Macao.
Shenzhen and Hong Kong are linked by the Luohu Bridge. It's convenient and easy to go. Shenzhen has now become one of the most modern cities in China. I think it's worth visiting.

If you're going to Hong Kong, the Po Lin monastrey is worth a visit - theres a huge statue of Buddha which is very humbling! Also - take the tram up to the peak so you can get the view of the city skyline at night. We had 3 full days in HK and found it to be enough time to see all that we wanted to.

Hong Kong...
I loved Hong Kong. There's so much to do in so many different areas. My top 3 would be...
1. Temple Street Night Market in Kowloon... definately try the street vendor food.
2. The Peak... but only if there's good weather, otherwise it's pretty poor (but the tram ride is good)
3. As Chix said, Po Lin Monsastary and the big buddha on Lantau island. Veru cool sight
Macau...
I had a bad time because the weather was bad and everything was under construction, so the roads were all blocked. But the gambling was fun.

Thank you for all the advice!
Stayed in a hostel in Mongkok, lots of interesting stuff around there.
Enjoyed the food there more than anything. The weather's terrific 11degC to 19degC !
Visted the Peak, walked around TST, Temple street. Took the Star Ferry to every stop and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Watched the "Symphony of Lights" at TST waterfront- it's a spectacular Lights and Music display where all the buildings around the waterfront would light up in syn with music.
Then I went over to ShenZhen, planned to stay for 2 nights, but extended 1 more night. Was really overwhelmed by the galore of electronics and gadgets over at SaiGe. will definitely visit again.
Overall, feel that HK has a wide variety of products of please every shoppers, but for street-style shopping, I would prefer BKK. HK food is the main draw for me.
cheers!
