I'm hoping this doesn't class as advertising!

Don't know where else to find people to write for my site.

I've just set it up to post travel diaries and photos of my next trip and am currently adding stories from my previous travels. Unfortunately, due to me being rubbish at saving (and having no idea how to attract sponsors to the site!) I probably can't afford to travel until next year. Until then I need to fill the site with some interesting stuff and am hoping there's other travellers out there with something to add.

If someone could just confirm if it's ok for me to post this here and then I'll add the website address and my email.

Ooooh, controversial! That's exactly what this site is for and I doubt the administrators would be very keen to advertise the competition.

There's no reason you shouldn't start a TP travel blog with links to another site though . . .

Hello Della

U could put your travel writing and photos, on this site and read the ones which others have posted.
Why start from scratch, when there is already an established popular site?

Ooooh, controversial!

Not really. There'a very easy rule: no promotional postings allowed. Doesn't really matter how noble the goal is: if one would be allowed, there'd soon be hundreds, completely drowning out the giving of advice that these forum are intended for.

Moderator comment: Sorry Sander, there was a slight error in the link code so the link did not bring up the forum rules. Now it should... ;)

Sander is correct - the answer is no. In addition to the no promotional posting rule, the no e-mail addresses and no advertising rules would also be violated.
