Any ideas? I think the beaches are going to be out - it won't be quite warm enough. But is it still worth seeing the islands in April? Is there anything to do on them, or are they mostly geared towards the beach crowd?

What's best? north, south, islands? I need to know...

The best island for honeymoon in Greece is Santorini and is world famous for its sunsets and romantic atmosphere....

In April it is not crowded and it will be hot enough to have a great time. Also there is a lot to see in the island from the volcano, black/white/red beaches and the archaeological museum...

This would be my recommendation for a honeymoon trip...also book a hotel in thira or Ia as it has the most beautiful sunsets...

If you are keen on doing much more than enjoying the breathtaking setting i would recommend bigger islands like Corfu. It has a beautiful Venitian old town and quite a big permanent population and thus many more activities...The same holds for Crete and Rhodes...

Another region of Greece which is very unique is Pelion. It is in the mainland. It is a complex of very picturesque preserved villages with views to the aegean sea... Also you can have day trips to the Sporades islands like skiathos and Skopelos from the big city (Volos) which is close by.

I understood that most places on the islands open their business in May/early June. It might be a lot quieter than in the summer, when a lof of tourist from Europe go to Greece. You might want to look up, if the sites you want to see are opened (once you made a choice).

Santorini, would be my first choice aswell, but you could also combine Naxos and Paros (two Islands close to eachother, when staying on one Island, you can make a daytrip to the other. I think it's about 45 minutes to get from one to the other)
