Last year I already tried finding a job in Scandinavia. I went to Oslo and asked around for work in every bar and hotel I could find. This was October however, and all bars and hotels had done their recruitment already. They advised me to return in early spring as then all bars recruit extra staff for the spring/summer season.

So here I am, ready to go for it again! :) Can someone tell me what the best moment is to go asking around? I'd love to book my travel, but I'm not sure at what moment all bars start their recruiting... Early February?? Late February?? Early March??
What is the best time for me to go asking around in all bars and hotels?

PS: I have a 4 weeks notice period in Ireland, so keep in mind that I'd go asking for a job in all bars/hotels, to effectively start working 4 weeks later.

Hei! Is it just Oslo you are interested in? Because Kvikne's Hotel in West Norway are good to work for in the summer season. Wages are high and there is staff accomodation. I would suggest you send an email about Febuary time. Be aware though, the village it is situated is very small, and so many of the staff tend to get 'cabin fever'! There are good transport links to the 'outside world' though, and many staff members bring a car. Hope this helps! Good Luck!
