Hi

just want to share my experience, I went to the Tiger Temple last month,
and I want to tell you , it was fabulous ,memorable experience. the tiger was very cute, act like a dog.
It was quite exciting + scary at first but then it was kind of fun. People were so happy, look very enjoyed there.some people just keep touching and touching the tiger, some even willing to pay 1,000 bath donation, just so they will life the tiger head and put on your lap. It was too scary for me to do that. but many people did it. and they just keep storking the tiger head like a baby dog, and the tiger seem to enjoyed so much.

In conclusion, I think it is worth for you to visit. The donation entrance fee was only 300 bath for this extrodinary experience.Do not miss this temple when you come to Thailand.

You can find more information about the place in Tiger Temple web

Have fun in Tiger temple

[ Edit: No promos please. ]

I am thinking about going here, but still not sure whether tigers are drugged or not?

yeah my mate went here and showed me some photos when he got back! i was in shock! they have to be drugged!

but apparently they are not, at a early age they mainly interact with humans! plus as far as i know, they are not fed any fresh meat...on a diet of some kind!

Laura check out the link http://www.tigertemple.co.uk/ go to the section 'out story' then to the section 'photo gallery' i plan to go myself...give a few baht for donation too

hi

I went to the Tiger Temple a couple of months ago and I have to say theres no way the tigers couldn't have been drugged. They couldn't even lift their heads from the ground.

id imagine even drugged they would still be a risk!

i heard in the evenings no one is allowed to see the tigers because they become very grumpy! hmmm

Apparently the tigers are like this because tigers are generally inactive during the day with the heat, they are nocturanl creatures, so likely to be active at night time.

Who knows? On my next trip to Thailand, I'm going to Kanchanaburi for a few days, but still haven't decided whether I want to go to the tiger temple, I'm still in two minds!

I went to the Tiger Temple as part of a tour I did with Intrepid Travel and they promote themselves as a responsible company. They have their own charity and stuff like that and also our tour guide had a very responsible approach to her job, so I reckon thay've done their homework and have decided that the Tiger Temple is okay to visit.

Yeah, you can do it in a day trip from bangkok no problems. It is well worth the visit.....i'm not entirely sure if they are drugged or not as when i was holding one of their tails for a photo, three of them started play fighting infront of me! Thank god i wasnt involved in the fight!

Any agency or hostel around kh san road can organise this trip for you on the cheap.

have fun
