Star this if you like it!
We are planning a 3 week trip in northern India this feb. We will be starting in Delhi and intend to travel to Agra. We would like to do a rafting trip along the way and also interested in a 2-3 day yoga courses. We obvioulsy will like to see the more famous temples etc as well.
Is it possible to hire taxi drivers at a decent price for a day.
How much are hostels or guest houses? How much will we spend a day.
Does anyone have any experience or can anyone recommend an itinerary?
Thanks

You can hire a taxi with driver for the day. This is around 1250 rupees (about 23 euro) a day with a maximum of 250 kilometers.
I spend around 12 euro a day in general (incl. food, accomodation, sight seeing, transport)....

Agra lies around 300km south-east of Delhi.. and the nearest rafting camps from Delhi are located at Shivpuri, Uttaranchal (about 20km from Rishikesh on the way to Devaprayag, and 250km from Delhi). Shivpuri is towards the north when approached from Delhi, so both the destinations are on opposite sides of Delhi. Hope this would help you plan your trip more effectively.
