Hey everybody,

Just wanted to throw a thread on this topic in the blend. I am sure these forums are also frequented by other travel industry minds and would like to get some feedback on the topic.

From our pov here at Travellerspoint, everything is very much online, and we rely heavily on word of mouth from our members as well as search engine rankings for different relevant key words. We were lucky enough to get some pretty good offline promotion too though through BBC World TV (thanks Click Online :) ) and some magazines and newspapers around the globe. The only problem with the offline marketing factor is that it is so temporary compared to the power of internet...

Anyway, would be interested to hear what others think. Whether money is spent promoting their sites/products and what has worked best or least. As far as I can see it, there is still a long way to go and plenty of improving to be done in the travel industry worldwide, albeit online or offline!

Cheers,

Sam
