Hi, was wondering if somebody could recomend some airlines to try.

I need a flight back from S.America at start of August. Im looking at the moment at flying out from Brazil (or anywhere else in SA) to UK, or anywhere in Europe if its cheap. Any ideas on what would be the cheapest route?

Thanks, Ed

Your best bet would be to look if there are any charter airlines flying out of Natal/Fortaleza or thath kind of places. Maybe dutch arkefly or transavia has some budget options. From holland many cheap options to the UK.

Start of August? That's high season as far as Europeans returning from holidays are concerned...

The charter option Utrecht mentions makes sense, but I don't think it's very feasible. You might be cheaper off if you book a regular flight from one of SA's cheaper main ports, i.e. BsAs, Natal or Salvador. If you book it now, you may still be able to get a good deal (€800 or less, excluding tax).

Cheapest should be air plus comet (www.airpluscomet) who´ve rebranded I notice.

They´ve got flights from BA to Madrid in August for 600 euro. You can get a cheap flight from MAdrid to UK on Easy jet etc. for about 20 pounds !

Not flown them yet... however, basic airline and after being close to using AirMadrid recently I might have to watch myself !! :)

Either way you can also go to where you get one for 580 pounds sterling (900 euros) via Rome. I´d suggest routing through MAdrid either way and checking out Iberia etc. to see if they´ve got any promo´s on etc.

sooner rather than later as I´ve learnt to my cost

hope this helps
