Well Frankfurt can be fun for half a day, but I would recommend to get going a.s.a.p. It's not really special. There is not really a lot to see. The problem might be that you have a jetlag, and you might want an easy first day, instead of traveling towards Belgium right away.

And Brussels isn't the most beautiful of cities in Belgium, you might want to swap that for Brugge (and do Brussels as a daytrip)

There are some trains that go from Frankfurt to Brussels direct, but there are also some that make a stop in Cologne. If you make a stop in Cologne, get out of the train, and make a visit to the Cathedral. It is just across the square from the Train Station.

If I was you, I would fly Canada-London and then take the Eurostar train from London to Brussels.

Frankfurt has not much to offer, the only reason most people are there is either business or the airport. The city has been dubbed Mainhattan for its skyline and in fact likes to consider itself Europe's version of New York City. Problem is that it is only a major hub in a quite rural and laid back area of Germany. The city itself is in no way proportional towards the number of banks or the size of the airport.

The only nice thing about Frankfurt is the area around the city - its a wine region and very very nice in September and October. If you fly into Frankfurt am Main for business and get to have 2 or 3 days off during this time, rent a car and drive around.

okay but isnt it more convenient to just take the flight to frankfurt. i mean that way i wont have to go into the center of london, and it would be cheaper to fly to frankfurt from heathrow than to get the eurostar. also my problem is finding a good discounted flight to london. im having trouble. any help would be apriciated. dates are approx may 22 - june 25 or something
