Hi guys,

I am a Brit living near Melbourne Australia and am planning on travelling from somewhere in South East Asia to India afterwards. I know, very vague isn't it!

Basically I need to get flights sorted and then I need to work out how much money I will need. Say if I was to travel from Bangkok to Delhi over 2 months, how much money would that be? In Australian dollars or British pounds?

I need to start sorting this out, I'm really starting from square one here any help would really be appreciated

Do you mean how much is it to fly from Southeast Asia or going overland?
If overland, keep in mind that you can't go through Myanmar, so overland requires a Laos or Vietnam - China - Tibet - Nepal - India route.

In those countries, general living costs for a budget traveller is about $20-30AUS a day or even less depending on your lifestyle. Since you'll be covering alot of ground in two months your transportation cost relative to your daily expenditures will go up greatly, so averaged daily costs could go as high at $35.
