Including airfare, food, train rides, and just general entertainment, how much do you think I would be looking to spend for a 10-12 day trip to England/Amsterdam/Paris. I will be spending the bulk of my time in England as I have free lodging there.

Hello Matt

This is a difficult question, since u did not state if u want a private hotel room, or if a hostel bed is ok. Also, is rock bottom travel OK, or do u want fancier.

I usually stay in hostels. It costs 30 to 50 Euros per day, in Amsterdam or Paris, including city transport, hostel bed, food from a supermarket, a few coffees in a cafe, entry to a tourist attraction, now and again.

It does not include intercity transport.
I usuallly fly from city to city, in Europe, for 29 euros, including taxes. If u want to do it for that price, then book as far ahead, as possible. I usually book 3 months ahead. U can book the flights, on the internet.
Here are the links, to do that

If u have any more specific questions, just post them here.

For London - Paris, you can fly Easyjet or BMIbaby, as far as I know Ryanair doesn't fly this route. (and if they would I would not recommend it, because for Paris, Ryanair flies on Beauvais Airport 70 miles from Paris, they do that for more cities!).

You can also take the Eurostar. (45 euros for the cheapest tickets, reserve in advance).

Make sure you have enough time to see Paris and Amsterdam properly (4 + 2 days minimum)
