Dear all,

I am going to apply for WHV, does anyone has any idea how much do I need in my bank account? Anyone has a copy of Letter from applicant explaining working holiday plans including an undertaking to leave the United Kingdom after no more than 2 years for reference.

Thanks a million,

-gopeace

Hi, I am from hong kong and I just got my WHV. For the money in bank account, I think 3,000 pounds or above should be alright. I gave them a travel plan telling them the places that I want to travel in the UK and the period of time that I plan to work. I didn't plan my entire two years time, just did the plan for the first half year.

Good Luck to you!

For anyone that is here in London, there is a dinner next Thursday 16/2/2006 in Central London after 5pm. So far only me and another Malaysian will be there. We're not sure about the venue yet but if you're free on that day after 5pm you very welcome. We are thinking to have some exotic moroccon or mexican food. Let me know if you are coming so I can keep you posted about the venue and the exact time. Hope to see you there!!

Hie everyone, it's been a while since I checked this Forum. Does anyone know whether the suspension on the WHM (in Malaysia) has been lifted or not? Any idea when? I'm DYING to APPLY! =)

Hi All,

Would like to post a genenral question to everyone who is holding working holidaymakers (WHM) visa.

I am currently holding a WHM and am working in London. I would like to find out whether anyone has successfully changed a WHM visa to a commercial work permit.

If yes, I would like to know the procedure of doing it.

Thanks

Hi ppl,

I am new to this thread and it seems too long to click through with the slow speed of connection i am getting now...

Apologise if this has been asked before but can someone advise me is the UK working holiday visa sufficient for extended travel to the rest of Europe? Or is another Visa required for Europe itself...

Is there a list of countries inclusive in the Visa available?

I am quite lost on the above.

Thanks in advance.

Appleseed, it would help if you stated which country you were from?

Anyway, for most countries in the EU, visa requirements are measured on a country by country basis. You'll have to search for information on the internet about the visa requirements for the country you want to visit but as a general rule(if you're malaysian), most EU countries allow malaysians at least a one month tourist visa.

The UK working holidaymaker visa only applies to UK, totally not related to tourist visas for other EU countries other than Great Britain.

Hope that helped...

I'm planning to go on a WHV somewhere this year. Am from Singapore and is now going through an interview for a temp job in London. Just wondering any other Singaporeans going for this at around the same time? Thanks!
