Am off to Iceland for a couple of nights in May myself.....just wondering where the best places to go for a gay boi like me are....

Im not too sure about the gay scene but there is a gay coffee house - bar called Cafe Cozy and then they just opened a small mostly gay club called Q bar.
The nightlife takes place in one stretch of a road which in its whole is refered to as Laugavegur and everyone hops from one place to another so If you dont like one place the next one is just a few steps away. Be sure though that bars and pubs close to Hlemmur are usually pretty seedy so dont even wonder about those.
Also, if you want to party, be sure to be here on a weekend. On weekdays everything closes at 1 am and sunday to wednesday are pretty dull nightlife wise.
hope this helps :)

Oh thanks for that info....dunno why I thought it might be more gay in Iceland....maybe more gay-friendly in general than some other places
Well I'm gonna be there on Friday & Sat nights, so seems like best nights to be there YAY!!
So long as there is somewhere for me to get a few drinks down my neck then move on to have a good dance then I'll be extra happy....never know I might meet a cute guy along the way ;)

Iceland and Icelanders are pretty much very gay-friendly so if you keep to common sense, I don't think you should get into any trouble...
You might want to have a look at for some more info.
