Any assistance would be appreciated!

In Nashville, go to the Wild Horse Saloon down by the river near downtown, and go to the Grand Ole Opry and Opryland (also the Opryland hotel) on the east side of town. Note that most of these places will have "country" music--which may or may not be your favorite, but is what Nashville is famous for. Opryland is actually an amusement park.

Also, visit the "Hermitage" where Andrew Jackson used to live.

While in Nashville, ask at the Wild Horse about getting tickets to a recording studio and see a TV program or album being recorded/filmed.

In Memphis, go down to Beale street. Go to the BB King's Blues place, and eat great barbecue ribs and chicken all up and down this block. Visit the Sun Record building (on the same street) which is where Elvis recorded his first records. On the south side of town is Graceland, which is Elvis Presley's old home. It is kept like a museum to him (his daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, who used to be married to Michael Jackson) owns it and makes tons of money off of Elvis' records and music, keeps the home in excellent condition.

You gotta try F Scotts in Nashville. It's a great bar!

That's unusual. Your first time in the US and you're going to Nashville? Nashville is a wonderful city I must say. Hang around downtown and you'll be singing country songs on your way back to England ;) How long will you be in the US for?
