Hi all

I have three weeks to myself once I finish volunteering (Thailand and Cambodia). I thought I might do the following but would love to hear your thoughts re weather/destination etc.

Week in the north Chaing Mai - trekking for a couple of days and a day cooking?
Week on Kho Phangan - Thai boxing (I won't have trained for nearly three months and will be missing it!!)
Week on Kho Tao - snorkelling and realxing.
Last couple of days Bangkok before heading home.

Thanks for your help. This will be my first visit to Thailand.

Tracy x

Hi there,
First off, didn't go to Chaing Mai!!! Koh Phangan is well worth a visit, you'll have by far the best time if you can be there over the full moon party where you'll also be most likely to meet people. There are beautiful beaches around the island, I got a scooter out, BUT I used to have one in UK and am familiar with riding them, so many people walking around like something out of a comedy sketch, bandages all over the place!!! Koh Tao is a lovely little place which is a good place to go to after the FMP as EVERYONE goes there to unwind afterwards. I did my padi there, it was amazing, the waters are so clear, fish and reefs are stunning viewing. The bars which are right along the beach front and take some walking to, so don't give up and think there's nothingthere, cause there is! Me and my mate were starting to wonder where everyone was hiding! Hope this helps, any more questions, feel free...:)

Go to Chiang Mai - it's the best city in the world, absolutely fantastic place.

If you want to do a bit of hiking, there is a road leading to the top of Doi Inthanon, southeast Asia's highest peak. It'll be a long walk, but more of a hike than a climb.
