I've booked a hostel in Split, Croatia, to spend a week in April. It's called Hostel Antonio, they say it's located in the heart of the old city in a 200-year old house and 100 m from the Diocletian's roman palace, 50 m from the sea and in the vicinity of all the shops, bars etc. It sounds great but, have you ever been in that hostel? What do you think about Split?

Thank you

I haven't stayed in that hostel, but having a look at the map it seems to be in a pretty good location. Split is lovely, the old town/Diocletians Palace is very pretty and interesting to walk around and explore. It's a very laid-back place, you will probably spend a lot of time sitting at the cafes on the waterfront, drinking coffee and people watching.
You can quite easily spend 2-3 days exploring the city, and then maybe spend some time doing day trips out to the nearby islands and beaches.
