Hello Char

Here is a copy and paste, of the same question, which I answered, for somebody else.

What about this place, in the link? U can prebook, on the web.
It is not near the party, but they provide transport, to the party, for around 200bahts. I think it is best to have accomodation, away, from the parties, because guesthouse rooms and beach bungalows, near the parties often get broken into, during and after the parties.

Also, there is Ao Chalok beach.
Walk along the beach, until u get to Sarisa place. There are bungalows there, for 200Bahts per night. If it is full, which it almost always is, the place to the right of it has bungalows, from 200 to 300bahts, per night.

Even though it's in the North West of the island, I'd give Had Yao Bungalows a go. Again you're looking at around the 200bt mark for a bungalow - when I went it was 180bt for a really nice 3-person room with ensuite. Can't say much fairer than that! Being on the west of the island, the sunsets can be awesome too. There's a decent yet serene nightlife on the beach itself, and there's one or two bars off the beach that are definitely worth looking for, Lizard bar being the best in my opinion.
If you're planning on going to a full moon party I'd seriously advise you get there at least a week before the actual event. Everywhere fills up amazingly fast, and the prices in Had Rin itself go through the roof. To turn up 2 days before full moon at one place I tried cost 600bt per night, the day before 1000bt, and turn up on full moon day I was told it'd be 1500bt for the night - a weeks stay elsewhere! Compare that to the 50bt (and great fun!) songtaews running frequently from Thong Sala on full moon night, and it pays, financially at least, to stay off Had Rin for as long as possible. Songtaews leave Had Yao frequently also and cost around 100bt to Thong Sala.

Hope you found what I say of some use and enjoy your trip!
