hi,
i am going to nepal soon. i want to do some trails and stuff. the only problem is that i dont have any hiking boots. iam in bangkok now and i cant find a good pair. iam looking to get a good pair like maybe columbia. my question is, has anyone bought hiking boots in kathmandu.. is there a large range, what are the prices like....
any information would be help full, as i dont have any boots now.

not sure why this is under review so I will offer my 2 cents.....
Outdoor goods are cheap, cheap in Kathmandu. There are a lot of Northfake items as well as knockoffs of other popular brands. There is a licensed Northface store as well as another legit branded shop at the entrance road to Thamel just off Kantipath. Near the 3 Sisters temple. If you get out the the Thamel ghetto and hit some shoppping centers, remember- you can bargain in the retail shops too!!
