Alrighty, so I know this is a bit early [our honeymoon being probably 2 years away still] ... but planning trips takes time so I was wondering if anyone has been to JeJu Island specifically. I know many friends from Seoul so I know Seoul is a wonderful place, but we were thinking of spending 1/2 our time in Seoul 1/2 in JeJu Island, since it is the Honeymoon spot of Korea.

So any advice would help ^^

PS. I am studying and have been for the past 3 years the Korean language, my husband also knows basic Korean ... we love Korean culture so that is why we want to head to Korea.

Thanks in advance

Also we are aware that Seoul & Jeju island are on opposite ends of South Korea ... but S. Korea is very small so we would be willing to take a plane to JeJu Island from Seoul. However we would like to know the cost of this ^^

I'm really glad to see someone who are interested in travelling to Korea.
I haven't seen much people want to go Korea here..^^
Yes!!~ Jeju island is awesome place to travel especially for honeymoon.
since it is an island and little bit apart from main land, Korea, Jeju has a unique culture of their own.
so if you go to Seoul and jeju together, you might be able to experience two different cultures.
when are you going to Jeju?? there are 4 seasons in Jeju.
I have been there 2wice, summer and winter.
in winter there are a lot of snow. and in summer it's hot and humid!!
in my opinion, the best season is spring. most back-packers go to Jeju in summer and newlyweds head to in spring.
but depends on your interests, if you like sea swimming, summer will be nice~
the transpotation is not easy to use for tourist. but most attractions are along side the beach. so, if you have a drivers' licence, it is better to rent a car and drive along the beach road~ much more romantic :)
the cost from Seoul to Jeju is usually around $80~100, economic class, one-way. but there are many cheap tickets and the price is fluctuate depends on the season. you better to check it on internet.
compare to Seoul, people are nice and price is cheap in Jeju.
and there are many kinds of musiums, beautiful nature spots, unique cultures in Jeju~ you will enjoy there for sure.

I live in Seoul. if you want to know more information about Seoul or Jeju. contact me by e-mail~
