Depends. The chicken was probably the more aroused of the two. Sorry I had to

The T-rex came first.

According to the bible, The chicken. According to scientists, it's null question (both predate humans, so there is no way to reliably prove it either way). For me mentally, its obviously the egg. There were birds/reptiles/other laying eggs Waaaaaay before evolution got around to producing the chicken [although whether that came from an egg or not, i won't comment on]. For me physically, I don't care. I'm bl**dy hungry and whichever comes first is fine with me, providing it's soon!

Wow, I can't say I ever read a passage from the bible explaining the chicken coming first, but then it's been awhile since I've read it cover to cover. They need to put an index in it to make it easier to find these things (ie: the chicken).

Being a scientist, but not wanting to go with the "null question" approach - I choose the chicken. Considering how eggs are formed, something, most likely fish/amphibian (as they tend to pre-date land dinos), had to lay the first egg. (Where's Prehistoric Planet or Walking with Dinosaurs when you need them?!)

That's what I said, the T-rex came first. If you compare the DNA of a T-rex with that of a chicken (and they did publish the results last week), you can clearly see, that both species are related. So the T-rex came first.
