I never said everyone was on hard drugs... Im just saying changing laws wont take the guns out of the system.

As you know 'Drugs' are legal in some countries (Yours for example).. Doesnt mean I have to go straight out and use them.

no u were saying that if guns were illegal in the US that people could still easily get them (atleast that is what I understood from your post)! so I was asking if people easily get harddrugs as well, which are illegal in EVERY country. the answer would be no. so making guns illegal would change things I would think.

I get your point, but I honestly think that on this occasion where 31 innocent people were murdered that new laws would make no difference whatsoever. Unfortunatly he knew exactly what he was doing.
It really depends where you are living to say if Guns and harddrugs are easily accesable.
The unfortunate point of all this is that yes in a lot of cities anf even towns nowadays it is easy to get access.

yeah, I've been on the BBC Have Your Say site and there have been a lot of posts from regular people saying how easy and quickly they could get a gun if they really wanted to, despite the UKs strict gun laws. To be honest, I think they are all talking out their arses.

I live in Northern Ireland and I'm sure we have more than our fair share of illegal firearms in circulation. I'm just a regular bloke but like most people in N.I, may know someone who is a bit of a bad lad, who may know someone higher up the chain, who again may know someone higher up the chain, who may, with the right payment be able to get it hands on something, maybe.

For anyone to say its easy I think they have been listening to too much media hype about Britain gun crime and are living in a world of fear. The streets aren't that bad, its safe to come out!!

Like Bobby lm from NI - yes l know someone who knows someone who might know someone who is connected to something dodgy - but l would still say that it would not be at all easy for me to get my hands on an illegal firearm.

My dad has firearms - he has a hunting shot gun - l suppose if l really wanted l could get my hands on that - but again not that easily as its locked in a gun cupboard hidden in the depths of the house and my dad carries the key on him at all times.
