There are many options in Town.
I considere 1 month like a good time to learn the language, the dance and go to "milongas" for your practice.
For Spanish lessons 2 intensive hours dayly 3 times a week is a good pace It give you the opportunity to organize your time and also discovere Buenos Aires.

Personally I would not commit myself to a single school for learning tango and not pay in advance for longer courses. Just look around as soon as you are in BA, there are plenty of options and you normally pay per evening. Traditional milongas are not the right place to practice, but there are often classes before the milonga and afterwards you can stay and enjoy the 'show'.

Never go with a package deal, that just a major rip-off, and usually the professors included in such deals aren't real good tangueros, either. Take classes at different schools, which is much better; most clases and milongas are posted at www.tangodata.com.ar. Always call in advance, since their schedule isn't entirely dependable. Although classes are nicer if you speak spanish, you can definitely get by without it.
