I'm a new one here. I'm going to visit Netherland this summer and hope to find a summerjob in this country. Please give as many advices as you can. What kind of job is the easiest to find and how to look for it. I will appreciate all your answers.

Hi Przemek,

If you have the Polish nationality, it should now be possible to find work in the Netherlands without too much of a hassle. While legislation has been protective for a while since the entry of Poland in the European Union, all barriers should have been lifted by may 1st of this year.

The best thing to do, is contact a polish branch of a dutch employment agency. There are quite a few, mainly based in the bigger cities, which cater for the flower, asparagus and fish processing industries; also, depending on your qualifications, you might be able to get a job working as a process operator in another industry.

For more information, have a look here

Thanks for your post. I've found some information on eures.
I also wonder if there is any chance to be employed in a designing company. I have some autocad skills, and I'm about to graduate in a year - civil engineering. Although job with flowers etc. is acceptable:)
Thanks anyway and good luck!

a position as draughtsman or "tekenar" is demanded in any engineering or architecture office, the kind who need lots of drawings for a minimum of time. however, the language barrier is a problem (unless you find an International office) and you would be working in an "indoor" sort of atmosphere.
