hey im off to OZ sunday with my mate for 6 weeks, starting in Noosa, then Caloundra, Brizzy, Coolangatta, Surfers, Byron then finishing in Sydney, mainly to surf and on a tight budget and was wondering the cheapest way to get from place to place...ive looked at Greyhound, which was pretty cheap for most places, but Byron to Sydney was especially expensive....any suggestions?
cheers guys, jack from wales:)

Virgin Blue and Jetstar both fly from Ballina (which is about 10 miles south of Byron Bay) to Sydney. Virgin Blue has many sales, and the fares start at $79, but a sale fare can be $59...with tax included.

Only a 1 hour and 15 min flight...sure beats a 10 hr bus ride in my opinion...
