I've heard Krabi is a bad-ass place for climbing, have any of you lot been before? If so, do you need your own equipment? because i didn't really want to lug mine about with me.....

any help would be..... erm..... helpful

I climbed there a few years ago. They do have some places where you can rent gear. I only brought my shoes. Climbing is awesome there. Just be careful of the monkeys. They have bolts at the bottom of the cliff to attach your stuff to. Trust me use them. The quick little bastards will steal everything.

I haven't been before but have been doing some research as I'm going soon.

You can either go out with an instructor or on your own. Obviously, It's more expensive with an instructor though.

You don't need to take any equipment with you at all. You can rent all required sport climbing equipment such as shoes, chalk, harness, ropes, quickdraws and even a guide book.

I can't remember the prices sorry but just check out the south east asia lonely planet guide.
