Hi, I'm planning a hypothetical trip ( I say hypothetical because it's actually a proposal for my Tourism Class) to India with the route: Delhi-Agra-Jaipur-Delhi.
It will be for 4 days and 3 nights.
My questions are: Is that route even possible? If so, do I travel on a bus on all the connecting cities? And how long will the trips take? Also, I know that in Agra the places to visit are the Taj Mahal and the Swami Narayan Temple. How about in Jaipur and Delhi (given the number of days I have there)?

Would appreciate any help whatsoever.

Yeah it possible but i would recommend sometime longer. This was the itinerary me and gf(now wife) took when she visited india.

reach Delhi in the morning say 10 .
Took a taxi to Agra reached agra around 2.
Stayed over at Agra ( visited the taj)we thought we had very lil time needed more
Next morning headed to jaipur via fathepur sikri ( u have some places that u can visit here like the Buland darwaza etc this was Akbars capital if i am not mistaken)
Reached jaipur that evening .Spent 2 days here visiting ( hawa mahal, amer fort, city palace, jantar mantar etc)
Headed for delhi at night ( travelled by Bus) and reached Delhi next day morn.

If u need any more info please get in touch with me.

4 days 3 nights would be short given the slow travel time in India as compared to the West.
Bus would be possible from
(i) Delhi to Agra (3 hours to 4hours)
(ii) Jaipur to Delhi (6 hours)
From Agra to Jaipur, you would need to hire a cab. The route would be via Bharatpur.

In Agra, the places are:
(i) Taj Mahal
(ii) Red Fort
(iii) Fatehpur Sikri
(iv) Sikandra
In Jaipur to see are:
(i) Amber Fort
(ii) Hawa Mahal
(iii) Jantar Mantar (is an ancient Observatory)

There may be a couple more things in Agra and Jaipur.
However Delhi has a lot to see....
(i) Qutab Minar
(ii) Red Fort
(iii) Tughlaqabad Fort
(iv) Old Fort
(v) Jama Masjid (Largest Mosque)
(vi) Birla Mandir
(vii) Akshardham Temple
(viii) Humayun's tomb
(ix) Safdarjung's tomb
(x) National Museum
etc etc

Hi Max,

u can travel from all to all these cities by bus.

delhi - jaipur 5-6 hrs

delhi-agra 3-4 hrs

agra-jaipur 6 hrs

While u can travel delhi-agra vice-versa during day time, I suggest u try to cover delhi-jaipur or agra-jaipur route during night...

U get good comfortable deluxe buses on both the routes ( delhi-jaipur route even has A/C buses which are great).

This way it will not only save time but hotel accomodation charges too;)

i hope they will give u extra marks in yr assignment for this idea:)

Places suggested by virolj are good enough for 3-4 dayus trip
