Surfing on a budget!

OK, Croatia fell through. Prices rocketed...

I live near Manchester....and would like to get to Newquay, without needing to spend stupid amounts of month doing it!

One option is to fly- £70 return!!!
Other Option is to get a megabus to London- £6.50 and then National Express to Newquay- £30= £36.50, which isn't too bad, but are there any other ways of getting down to Newquay, direct form the north (trains are over £150!).

I'm also open to other options about where to go for a week with £400....(including flights!)

Have a look into Morocco, cheap flight into Marrakesh with easyjet and then head down to Agadir area via bus or taxi, a lot of nice little spots about there and it’s cheap as chips so will probably cost you about £400 all in all, I was there about 2 years back!!
