That is exactly the answer I would give.
My life is full of fun, with the family life I want and with no real hardship. How the world effects me personally is mostly good.
But when I look beyond my existance, at what is going on in the world and how because of this, it is next to impossible to make completely moral choices, about what to buy and what to do..........
Depends on the references you use to determing what is good and bad.
I would say most people in my eyes are good, it's just a couple that ruin it for the rest of us.
Totally depends of perception. People who are optimists see the good, pessimists see the bad, and realists bounce back and forth. People tend to be caught up in their own lives and get annoyed when other people invade their space, but I think overall it doesn't make us bad - just a bit disconnected. Look what happens when a huge natural disaster hits the world - people rally to help in whatever way they can. Says a lot more about our penchant for goodness.
the world isn't necessarily divided into goods and bads, really more or less not divided at all, and everyone just works towards their own ends, sometimes with various degrees of bad reprecussions and sometimes varying degrees of good reprecussions. The amount of people that purposely do bad for the sake of bad or good for the sake of good isn't alot.
the problem is, its much easier and much more likely that pursuing your own ends has bad reprecussions instead of good.
most harm is not done of malice, but of desire for personal gain.
solution: become a buddhist. or just don't be a douchebag and be aware of the reprecussions of your life.
